Tao & Tantra: Freedom + Love

August 18 August 23

We are excited and deeply honored to offer this 6-day journey on one of the most essential themes; one which moves our lives and holds a key towards our integration. In this unique place, Osho Afroz, a community and an environment that supports our body, mind and spirit to flourish, we meet with old and new friends as our senses call to us, moment by moment, to create our reality with passion and truth, together.

Freedom and love are like two wings of a great bird; a bird that cannot live unless it is able to fly.  Have you ever considered how they are related?  Are you ready to unravel the mystery?

We are excited and honored to offer this 6-day journey on one of the most essential themes; one which moves us on so many levels and holds a key towards our integration of love, sex, intimacy & freedom.

Unlike other paradigmatic forces- yin & yang, masculine & feminine, light & dark, good & evil- freedom & love don’t strike us as strictly oppositional, except for one aspect of our human reality- intimate relationships.

This workshop is designed with one main purpose- to get to the heart of the struggle between the search for deep, loving intimacy and the longing for the lasting feeling of freedom within that intimacy.  Owing to the gravity of this central question, we have to start where we are, with a simple inquiry: Am I more identified with the freedom or love? Or perhaps equally as important, am I more resistant to freedom or love?

“Love has to be of the quality that gives freedom, not new chains for you; a love that gives you wings  and supports you to fly as high as possible.” ~Osho

“Unless meditation is achieved, love remains a misery.  Once you have learned how to live alone, once you have learned how to enjoy your simple existence, for no reason at all, then there is a possibility of solving the second, more complicated problem of two persons being together.  Only two meditators can live in love- and then love will not be a koan.” ~Osho

Please note: this is not a workshop for beginners.  As we want to go to the heart of the issues that divide us from each other and from ourselves we are looking for participants who have a sincere desire to go deep. This workshop will be the most exciting and complete experience we have ever created!

We will:

  • Use the Tao & Tantra precepts to create a vital, healing space where relating creates transformation
  • Use rite, prayer and meditation to create rituals of ecstasy, beauty and truth
  • Learn how love and freedom are at the foundation of our most deeply held beliefs about relationship
  • Experience how responsibility is a door to freedom and freedom is a gateway to connection
  • Use inquiry, one-to-one relating and ritual to resolve repetitive mistakes in relating
  • Use sensuality, touch, massage, music and our unique environment to evoke primal passions
  • Use meditation to penetrate those primal mysteries and compassion to resolve old belief patterns
  • Learn to use depth of feeling as a tool to discover and liberate deep longing for connection
  • Experience the necessity of aloneness in relationship
  • Learn to tap universal reserves of energy to create a life that is a work of art

If you have worked with us before you will recognise the container we create together to provide a safe foundation for joy, openness and transformation, in which we learn:

  • Why sexuality is sacred
  • Simple exercises for health, vitality and relaxation
  • About men’s and women’s orgasms
  • Techniques of self-awareness and pleasure
  • To accept limitations and reject outdated self- perceptions
  • To create depth, spaciousness and potential in relationship
  • To become aware of one’s longing for authentic expression

*Anyone interested in a deep dive, an embodied and experiential journey into the questions that lie at the foundation of their relationship choices, is welcome; but first you must:

  • Have completed one of our prior workshops, or
  • Have some prior Tantra, Taoist or other sacred sexuality experience, and
  • Complete a 15 minute, online interview with us, prior to registration.
  • All (singles and couples) are welcome regardless of sexual orientation, age or any other designation.
